IDLO’s story began in 2016. Exactly 10 years ago, Misha and Syrizha—avid travelers—started thinking about what truly (proper, filling) food in the mountains should look like.

At first, we worked with infrared-drying technology and became the first in Ukraine to package dried meals in doypacks, receiving a patent for the packaging and “steep-in-pouch” method.

In 2017, we launched OMNOM natural energy bars—no colorants, no preservatives.

In 2019, we moved to a new production facility and switched to freeze-drying—the very technology that preserves the natural taste of our meals you know today. The following year we implemented the ISO 22000 / HACCP food safety management system.

Since 2020, we’ve been running the eco program “Leave No Trace.” For every 10 used doypacks that we send for recycling, participants receive 1 new meal of their choice. Within the first year, 4,500 people have joined the program.

Since 2021, we’ve been supplying a strategic stock of meals to the Ukrainian Antarctic station “Akademik Vernadsky”!

2022 changed life for all of Ukraine. Two of the three co-owners joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. We kept working and didn’t slow down. Our products began to be actively used by the military.

2023 brought recognition: IDLO made it to the Forbes Next250 list and received the ISPO Award—a major international award in the outdoor industry. In 2024, we received the “Verified by Antarctica” distinction from the National Antarctic Scientific Center.

In 2025, we focused on expanding production capacity, developing new meals, and implementing new technologies.

And today, in 2026, we’re celebrating 10 years!

All proceeds from the limited series will go toward ground equipment for the Silver FPV Battalion of the Kraken Separate Unmanned Systems Regiment 1654. From selling 1,000 meals we will raise 250,000 UAH, and we will match the same amount and donate it to the fundraiser.
